Michael Izzo

Mr. Izzo is the firm’s Senior Vice President, Environmental Strategies responsible for leading Hines’ efforts to assess its carbon emissions and develop the strategy to set and achieve the firm’s science-based targets. He engages regularly with the firm’s global teams to provide strategic leadership and ensure continuity and the successful progression on the firm’s strategy and commitments and help lead the industry’s carbon emissions response. Prior to this global role, Izzo most recently served as Vice President-Construction, working closely with the New York project team to evaluate climate change impact and risk on the existing Hudson Square building portfolio. Before joining Hines in 2017, Izzo spent more than 14 years in various engineering roles.

Izzo received his BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration on Energy Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
