In 2011, Hines was retained to manage Parque Sur, the first AAA multi-purpose office/industrial park in Panamá. Strategically located inside Panamá's metropolitan area, this master-planned development fronts the Corredor Sur and is just minutes from the Tocumen International Airport. Parque Sur also enjoys immediate access to the principal transportation arteries connecting the air and sea ports and highways in and around the city.
The 93-acre development will include approximately 2.5 million square feet of industrial, flex and office space in 15 buildings. The development is slated for completion in 2016, however the infrastructure and initial phase of construction were completed in early 2011, with the first two anchor industrial facilities being occupied in March 2011.
