University of Washington School of Medicine is a six-building biomedical research campus in the heart of the biotech corridor in South Lake Union, just North of Downtown Seattle. The campus is composed primarily of research lab facilities, along with administrative support and clinic space. The critical lab space supports a variety of cutting-edge research across a broad spectrum of disciplines and is home to the only Level 3 Biosafety lab in the State of Washington. The University of Washington is the sole tenant of the space; the property was designed and built with their research efforts in mind.
The welcoming two city block campus is located in a rapidly growing neighborhood a few blocks north of Lake Union and a short shuttle ride away from the main University of Washington campus where many of the researchers split their time.
